The album was recorded at the home studio of Casey Foubert ( Pedro the Lion) and released in 2006 under Barsuk Records. ![]() He then devoted a year and a half to writing and recording his fourth full length album, Makers, which included his best performing song thus far “White Daisy Passing”. By this time, Rocky had already released several well-received solo records, including his self-titled Rocky Votolato in 1999, Burning My Travels Clean in 2001, and Suicide Medicine in 2003. The band released 4 albums before officially disbanding in late 2005. He would later front the band Lying on Loot, which broke up in 1996 to start Waxwing, where Rocky served as the singer and guitarist alongside drummer Rudy Gajadhar, bassist Andrew Hartley and Rocky’s younger brother Cody on second guitar. ![]() Here he began his first ever band, Runaway Laughing with high school friends. Rocky Votolato was born in 1978 in Texas, but moved to Seattle in his early teens.
